Vanessa is a Brooklyn-based designer who has studied in the US, Canada, and Scandinavia. Glass blowing, ceramics, mold making, metal welding, industrial sewing, and woodworking are just some materials/processes that Vanessa has worked with. Her work has been exhibited at the Salon International du Design d’Intérieur de Montréal (SIDIM), The Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, Model Citizens NYC, powerHouse Arena, and the New York Design Center. She was a finalist in competitions with Josiah Wedgwood, George Kovacs Lighting and was selected to work on the Pratt Collection for West Elm.

An avid cyclist, Vanessa devoted her Master of Industrial Design (MID) thesis at Pratt Institute to address the needs of the growing number of urban cyclists - each product designed combines functionality with stylishness and a nostalgic nod to the past. During the summer of 2009, Vanessa launched the blog For The Love Of Bikes were she posts about her multi-faceted love of the most simple and beautiful machine to ever exist. In 2011 she was named one of the "Fifteen Women Who Rule the Biking World" by PUBLIC Bikes.

She works as an industrial designer for MAC Cosmetics.
